Go Grab This Great Gluten-Free Snack!

My friend recently shared this tasty gluten-free snack with me and I fell in love!

These “That’s-It” bars are low in calorie, gluten-free, and are literally just fruit! No added preservative or sugar.

Even better, my young son loved these bars which is a much better snack than sugar-filled treats.

You can find these “that’s it” bars at Costco and Amazon.

Let me know if you try these bars, I hope you enjoy them!

Gluten-Free Tip Of The Week

Have you ever stopped to think that there are some really healthy aspects to living a gluten free lifestyle?

Yes some of the grains and nutrients we miss out on from wheat flour is hard… but overall by eating less carbs we are much healthier.

I’ve been learning more about healthy living this past year.

And really what stands out a lot is that protein and fruits and veggies are ideal!

Carbohydrates provide us with energy.

But guess what?

We can get that energy from fruits and veggies.

So my point is…living a gluten free lifestyle helps us cut down on all the extra complex carbs that our bodies really don’t need!

Do we miss the baked good and tasty treats?

Of course!

Is it alright to indulge into these tasty treats every now and again?

Yes.

But with all that I have learned in the past year, I am truly realizing that cutting out all the complex carbs is actually a blessing in disguise.

How Well Do You Take Care of Yourself?

It’s a good question: “How well do you take care of yourself?”

Think about it for a minute.

On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being you make sure to have time every single day to focus on “yourself” in a healthy manner, and 1 being you rarely if ever do anything for yourself. Where would you land on the scale?

Is it selfish to take care of yourself?

No way, not when you are taking care of yourself in a healthy manner.

Being selfish is a completely different thing, where you only think of yourself, your wants, needs etc.

We are talking about, do you take care of your body, your mind, your spirit and your soul?

And if you don’t, think about why not?

Try to remove one stumbling block you have today, that may be keeping you from taking care of yourself.

You can look at my self-care list, or you can create your own, just try every day to do something for yourself that can better who you are as a person.

Relax more.

Learn more.

Sleep more.

Ponder more.

The list goes on and on. You know what is best for you.

I believe so many of us, get stuck in the cycle of hustling from place to place, taking care of others, or accomplishing multiple tasks…that we forget about keep OURSELVES healthy.

Please take time for yourself, you deserve it!
