It can be hard to step into a gluten free lifestyle, however, it shouldn’t be overwhelming.
Our works is understanding the gluten free lifestyle more so thankfully there’s more awareness.
After my own experience with being new to the gluten free world (back in 2008), I came up with 4 steps to help you:
- Share the News
Why share the news?
I have learned it’s important to be up front and honest about your gluten free lifestyle.
Be tactful and nice when you explain your gluten free guidelines. But let others know the importance of following gluten free food guidelines.
Gluten free living is more common now so there’s no need to feel like an “inconvenience” in any way.
It’s best just to let others know that you eat gluten free to stay safe and healthy.

2. Find Support Resources.
I am on multiple Gluten free Facebook groups.
I also follow a lot of gluten free accounts on Instagram and tik tok.
When you’re surrounded by helpful resources you don’t feel alone in the gluten free journey.

3. Download helpful gluten free apps
I currently have 2 apps on my phone that I use to help with my gluten-free lifestyle:
-Gluten free scanner: you scan food items snd it tells you if it’s gluten free or not.
-Find Me Gluten Free: it’s a resource mapping out gluten free restaurants and bakeries in your area. This is so helpful and nice.

4. Keep track of Gluten-free Recipes You Enjoy
One of the reasons I started this blog was to keep track of gluten free recipes that we love.
Pinterest is a great resource to organize recipes too.
Whatever way you choose to do it, make sure you can easily find your gluten free recipes..it helps make life simpler and easier when it comes to cooking gluten free.
