Who Am I?

Who am I?

A small town girl,

Raised in a loving home,

With a huge support group

Who am I?

A youngest child,

Sometimes sassy, mostly sweet,

Who is working on not always being the constant “people-pleaser.”

Who am I?

A wife to a strong man,

Who sometimes melts into his arms with stress,

Who sometimes jokes and smiles with him,

Who always loves him more everyday.

Who am I?

A mom of three beautiful children.

A mom who sometimes yells and feels mom guilt.

A mom who enjoys spending a lot of time with her kids.

A mom who is far from perfect but prays everyday to be better for these precious souls I have the opportunity to raise.

Who am I?

A daughter.

A daughter of God, who loves me, He is my constant rock.

A daughter of two wonderful parents that have loved and supported me through every single experience in life this far.

Who am I?

A friend.

Being a friend to others brings joy to my heart.

A friend who sometimes feels that I’m never “doing enough” to reach out.

A friend that will stay.

A friend that is trying.

Who am I?

A follower of Christ.

Who needs to repent everyday for my imperfections.

Who loves the gospel.

Who tries to read and learn more from the scriptures daily.

Who makes mistakes.

But chooses faith over fear to get through hard times.

Who am I?

A teacher.

A former middle school teacher.

Who loves to learn.

Who has a passion for education.

Who truly believes our children are the future.

Who am I?

A fighter.

Who fights anxiety, fear, and weaknesses.

Who doesn’t win the fight every time.

Who knows it’s a day-to-day battle.

Who loves to be surrounded with positive souls to uplift and support.

Who Am I?

I’m me.

I’m imperfect, impatient, and strong and kind.

I’m trying to improve and not beat myself up in the process.

I’m sensitive, and calm, and sometimes loud and untamed.

Who am I?

I’m learning this,

That there is only one me.

That even though I’m riddled with weaknesses and shortcomings, I have a lot to offer.

And even when I fail or fall, I can get back up.

That I have an important purpose in this life.

To help others,

To serve others,

To reach out to others,

And more importantly ..

To love others.

And when I focus on this,

Who am I?

I’m Happy.

xoxo,

Christy Lee
